1. Proposed off-licence at 38 Stonnycroft, Ashtead

These premises which are more or less opposite Greville School were a traditional corner shop but have been closed for some years.  MVDC have received an application for an off-licence there with opening hours of 0800 to 2300 six days a week and only slightly less on Sundays.  On the face of it such a store might be unwelcome locally, being in a quiet residential area and opposite a primary school.  However the application itself shows that the off-licence would be only a small section of the shop which would also include a newspapers and magazines, confectionery and general goods.

If you wish to comment on this application you should do so to Mole Valley District Council, Environmental Health Licensing Team, Pippbrook, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1SJ. or email licensing@molevalley.gov.uk.

Any objection must be made with the four licensing objectives in mind, which are the prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, the prevention of public nuisance and the protection of children from harm.
